How To Use A Handheld Laser Welding Machine? - Video Description

This video shows how to use a handheld laser welding machine from start to weld, which is the best reference to help you buying a portable laser beam welder.

Laser welding is a process that uses a laser beam as a heat source. The laser pulse heats the metal in a small range. After the energy increases, it is transmitted to the interior of the metal through heat conduction, causing the metal to liquefy and form a molten pool.

A handheld laser welding machine is easy to use with straight and uniform welding seam, fast welding speed and without consumables.

How to use a portable handheld laser welder? Here we will teach you how to operate it in five sections.

Preparation Before Use

Step 1. Read the instruction manual and conduct training.

Step 2. Correctly wear the protective equipment necessary for welding.

Preparations Before Starting Up

Step 1. Check the appearance - The appearance should be clean, dust-free, oil-free, and free of debris.

Step 2. Check the cooling system - The cooling water level should be within the normal range and kept clean.

Step 3. Check the argon gas cylinder - The argon gas should be connected and opened normally.

Start The Handheld Laser Welding Machine

Step 1. Turn on the machine system switch.

Step 2. Observe whether the water temperature of the laser welding machine is appropriate. It is generally set at around 21°C. It can be adjusted appropriately between 20 and 25°C according to the situation. Antifreeze needs to be added when the weather is cold. When the temperature rises, it needs to be replaced with pure water.

Step 3. Turn on the laser switch.

Step 4. Set the welding parameters according to the selection mode of the metal parts to be welded.

Perform Welding

Handheld Laser Welder

The handheld laser welder can perform all-round operations such as tailor welding, fillet welding, and stack welding. The welding modes include continuous laser welding, pulse laser welding, and electron beam welding. Depending on the condition of the weldable metal parts, consider whether to add wires. When the machine is working, be careful not to touch the laser beam with your hands or other body parts, and do not direct the muzzle of the laser welding gun at yourself or others.

Turn Off The Laser Welder

After welding is completed, first exit the program, and then turn off the laser system, argon gas valve and power switch in sequence.
